When opening and closing, the slider moves over the fins (steps) of the teeth, so it doesn't interfere with the tape, and the tape is almost undamaged. It's very sturdy, and there seems to be a very thin metal wire-like material inside the tape, and the fasteners and teeth seem to be connected to it. Unlike regular zippers, the top and bottom stoppers cannot be adjusted, and if you try to forcibly remove even one tooth, the tape will definitely be damaged. For round zippers, you can usually attach the zipper and then adjust the top and bottom stoppers, but when using this type, you can align it from the top stopper side and attach it, and then hide the bottom part by sandwiching it with leather. (I use a rotary tool to shave it down as thin as possible and then sandwich it) Since it's 30cm, it's not enough for a typical U-shaped round zipper, but it's suitable for L-shaped zippers and small items.
