France Luneville Cobalt Blue Lorraine Cross Series A very rare tumbler from the Luneville kiln, featuring a deep cobalt blue. The central emblem is adorned with gold-painted lilies (fleur-de-lis), the symbol of the French royal family, along with swords, a cross, and the motto "NUL NE DESPERANDUM (Never despair)," creating a proud design. The pale blue enamel and gold decoration are beautiful, giving the piece a solemn impression. It is believed to have been made as a commemorative item or for decorative purposes, and is also perfect as a vase or pen holder. A beautiful Luneville ceramic roller vase by Keller & Guérin.
