There was a family crest, so I think it's a good fabric, but there are age-related stains or discoloration due to sun exposure throughout. It may be difficult to see, but it's in the 9th photo. Due to smartphone photography, the actual color may differ. I've unpicked a komon kimono, washed it, and ironed it before making this. There may be stains or needle marks here and there, but please forgive this as a remake item. I bought the kimono for remaking, but there is still a slight kimono-specific smell. I think it's the smell of camphor, but if you are concerned, please refrain from purchasing. I think it will probably be reduced if you wash it several times with detergent. I wash it in the washing machine with a delicate cycle using a detergent for delicate clothes. Ironing while it's still damp makes it easier to remove wrinkles.
