Stereo playback is possible by connecting stereo earphones/headphones, and it also has two built-in 36mm diameter speakers. There is no power adapter. It's a nostalgic product, but it can record and play back properly. The head and pinch roller have been cleaned. It operates on two AA batteries as there is no external power cord. Comes with an external directional microphone for recording. I like that you can adjust the playback speed. I used it to learn songs and study languages, but I am selling it to declutter. Since it is a used item, it has some scratches and dirt. Please understand this before purchasing.
