This is a set of 5 絵粉引蛤向付 (E-Kohiki Hamaguri Mukouzuke) dishes by Takashi Nakazato (Ryuta Gama). (Another set of 5 with a wooden box is also available.) The set comes with a wooden box and is in near-new condition. According to the official website, one dish costs 13,200 yen and is currently sold out. I purchased two boxes (10 dishes) from Ryuta Gama, a Karatsu kiln, for my collection. (Each box cost about 50,000 yen.) Although they are old, I have kept them with great care, hardly using them. There is some aging on the boxes, but the dishes are in good condition. During inspection, I found an old repair on the bottom of the foot of one dish. It appears to be a repair typical of antiques and does not affect its strength. I have included photos 9 and 10. Other than that, they are in very good condition. Some are completely new. These are items that are no longer available. I hope you will use them for New Year's, the end of the year, and kaiseki meals. They are easy to use for Japanese cuisine, kaiseki, and home cooking, and their warm, Karatsu-yaki appearance is charming.
