The fabric is double-layered, with a fleece-like material on the inside, making it incredibly warm. There was a sewing error from the time of purchase; the left pocket was sewn shut partway, so only about a third of it is usable. I noticed this after wearing it a few times, so I didn't return it and have been wearing it as is. It doesn't affect wearability, but please be aware that the left pocket is practically unusable. There is a "ta" written on the tag in pen. It was quickly outgrown, and I only wore it for one season, but there is some wear and tear typical of black fabric.
