This is a tea ceremony utensil, a Gen Gensai-style Go-gyo shelf made by Hyokan Kawase, made of burnt cedar. I believe it is unused, but due to long-term storage, I am listing it as "near new." There are no noticeable scratches or cracks. The original box has minor stains due to aging. The item overall is in very beautiful condition.
