This is a computer stand. You can adjust the width by fixing the four dividers with screws. The wrench for turning the screws can be stored on the back of the base, making it convenient for immediate adjustments. I bought two of these on Amazon and no longer need this one, so I'm selling it! I assembled it, but it's in good condition with no noticeable scratches or stains. There are also rubber pads on the bottom, which is nice because it prevents your laptop from making a loud thud when you place it down. By the way, Amazon says you can store five laptops, but the dividers on both ends are short, so you can only store up to three laptops in the middle! The ends are designed for things like books or other lightweight items.
