Thank you for viewing! This is a newly designed, original oboe reed. It's a red thread reed, so I named it "Rubellite" after the red stone. Please search online for more details. Feature ① Wide tip The tip width is wider than other reeds, making it easier to blow and greatly expanding the range of expression and volume. It produces a rich tone, is easy to play, and sounds evenly from low to high notes, without any issues with low note articulation. Feature ② Shorter overall length The overall length of the reed is slightly shorter compared to other reeds. Because the pitch tends to drop with a wider tip, we've balanced it by shortening the length. You can listen to the tone on a certain video site. The tube used is the popular Guerciod D12 cu type (new). It's a high-quality tube that costs around 1000 yen per piece at JDR's online shop, etc. It uses metal with a high copper content, and is characterized by its soft, supple resonance and tone. The cane used is Rigotti from reednet. It has excellent density and hardness, and is a truly wonderful material. We only shape it thickly with a making machine, and adjust each reed by hand-scraping. The raw material costs are high, so the price is a bit high, but I believe it's worth it. Please give it a try!
