It's a very fine thread, like nylon. I'm not sure of the exact material, but it's not cotton. I used it to make tassels and to knit with yarn, but I have too much to use it all, so I'm selling it. It seems to have almost no stretch. I haven't used it myself, but it might be usable as sewing thread. I have a large quantity, so please feel free to use it without fear of making mistakes.
