I used it attached to a hat, but the base of the brim on one hat is torn about 1-2 cm, so please consider the hat as a bonus. The microphone and other functions work without any problems. The volume button on the housing doesn't work very well, so it's usable, but you might want to replace it if you're concerned. The main unit is in perfect working order and can be used immediately.
