Yana-hime Shrine, Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture: Nationally Designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property Located in the center of Iwata City, the area around the Mitsuke Shukuba-dori (former Tokaido Road) flourished as the post town of Mitsuke-juku during the Edo period. The Mitsuke Tenjin Hadaka Matsuri (Naked Festival) is the autumn festival of the Yana-hime Shrine (Mitsuke Tenjin), held over eight days. The main highlights are the Go-Taisai (Grand Festival), held on the weekend before the old lunar calendar's August 10th, and the Hama-gori (Beach Purification) held three days prior. The Zenkoku Renwada Group participates every year. A photo collection containing many memorable scenes from the Mitsuke Tenjin Hadaka Matsuri in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 is a moving epic with 1235 images and a running time of 107 minutes. Powerful images unfold across the screen every five seconds with background music. This is the same quality as the permanent preservation edition sent to the Preservation Society and those who helped. The DVD contains high-definition images, including 912 original images, allowing for printing up to A3 size for personal enjoyment. It will be sent by regular mail as soon as it is ready.
