This cutting board is made primarily of black cherry wood, with beech wood accents on both ends. Black cherry wood has a moderate hardness and elasticity, making it gentle on knife blades. It also boasts a beautiful grain and develops a rich amber color over time. This cutting board is currently a light color, but it will gradually deepen to an amber hue with years of use. The underside features a recessed area (handle) for easy lifting. It is finished with 240-grit sandpaper and two coats of plant-based oil. The oil used is Livos' Ardvos, known for its high safety standards.
