This eliminates the sound leakage at volume 0, which is the biggest issue with standard CTS pots. This sound leakage occurs because of the large residual resistance inside the pot, but the "CUSTOM CTS POT" reduces the residual resistance, which is normally around 20Ω on average, to 4Ω or less. Furthermore, as an effect of this special material, it eliminates the muffled sound when the volume is turned down, and at full volume, it functions as if it were a "volume-through," successfully maximizing the performance of the pickups. Solid brass, which has been confirmed to improve sound quality, is used for the shaft, and the bottom part adopts the "flat back style" seen in 50's Gibson.
