I found this suzuribako (inkstone box) while cleaning out my parents' house. Inside, there's an inkstone, a water dropper (ceramic), and ink (made by Kijuen). Everything is new and unused, but please understand that they are old items. It's in a wooden box, and "Shosoin" is written on the box, followed by three characters that I can't read, but I think they say "Gobutsu Utsushi" (a copy of a treasure). I'm not sure if it's Nanto Shinonome-saku (made in the Shinonome workshop in Nara), as it's commonly known, but the inkstone has a gold rim, and the suzuribako has mother-of-pearl inlay with a phoenix design, so I think it probably is. ~Additional Information~ Additional images (4th to 9th images) Size: Length 23cm, Width 18.5cm, Height 3cm The lid has scratches on the top and bottom (images 7 and 8) On the inside of the lid, it says: "25th Anniversary of Service" "February 1953" "○○ Newspaper Company" "To ○○ ○" Please purchase only if you do not mind the inscription of the commemorative item and if you understand.
