Late Edo period indigo-dyed hand-spun cotton *hanten* jacket. It has been used considerably, but it is a sturdy item with a good texture. The family crest and the reinforcing cloth on the back are sewn on with white cotton that has been dyed. It also has a belt to fasten the collar. It was used by samurai on horseback. There are stains on the body, sleeves, and collar, as well as scuffs and wrinkles. Please use it for wearing or for remake materials.
