The dougake himo (body cover string) is not included, so it's recommended to prepare a string in the same color as your shamisen's o-neo (sound string) for a unified look. Although the photos don't show holes for the dougake himo, I will make the holes before shipping. This is an elegant yet cute dougake with flowing cherry blossom embroidery on a wisteria-colored fabric. It also features gold thread embroidery, giving it a華やかな (gorgeous/splendid) impression. While many dougake are made of kinran fabric or plain fabric, embroidered ones are rare, making this one quite unique. For an additional 900 yen, I can make a tenjin-bukuro (headstock bag) using the same fabric as this dougake. It will create a unified look and make your shamisen even more beautiful. (Size) Gorin-dai The core material of this dougake uses traditional kyogi (thin wood), while many modern ones use plastic. With the decreasing number of kyogi craftsmen, this dougake is likely becoming increasingly rare. Kyogi is made of thin wood and absorbs moisture well.
