These dolls were made in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, and are made from plant fibers, from the hair to the body. Flax doll, literally. Looking from the bottom, it's made of a material like a palm broom, with a felt-like texture. The hair part is a bit harder and has yellowish fibers. I can't say for sure because there's no marking, but it might be from Belarus. I've seen several dolls with similar faces on overseas vintage sites. Type: Doll
