The material is "Enju" (Japanese Pagoda Tree), and I was told that gently polishing it would increase its luster. In particular, I was strongly advised, "Don't lose the fishing rod that Ebisu is holding up the fish, as its value will change!" Because of this, I would occasionally look at them and cherish them too much, keeping them in their box. So, I am now putting them up for sale. Of course, there is an aged atmosphere, but I believe they are very well-made items.
