This is the first printing of the first edition of Kojien, published on May 25, 1955. My parents kept it carefully on a bookshelf for many years. The paper cover has some damage. The inside has yellowing due to aging, but it's in relatively good condition for an old book. There are a few light stains and one small tear (the tear is a few millimeters at the bottom of photo 5, and the stains are in photos 5 and 6, lower left). There is some creasing on one part (photo 7). The other pages are mostly clean. The first printing is very valuable, so please examine the condition carefully before making a decision if you are interested. I may have overlooked something, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about minor imperfections.
