It seems this was purchased with the intention of using it for the furo bon temae (a tea ceremony procedure using a portable brazier) in a Japanese-style room before the tea room was completed. There are slight scratches on the back (photo 6). I've marked it as "Like New." Wajima-nuri is made of natural wood. I understand that it mainly uses Hiba wood from Aomori and Hokkaido.
