This is the only manual portable equatorial mount specifically for cameras. It comes with the instruction manual and a Velbon QHD-33 ball head. It has been used very little, is in good condition, and functions properly, but the clock battery is dead and needs to be replaced. (Any clock will do, so if you have an inexpensive wristwatch, you can attach it to the operating screw with tape.) No power is required, and it's trouble-free. You can set it up and be ready to shoot as long as you can see the North Star. It's strong enough to handle everything from full-frame DSLRs to compact digital cameras. It supports fisheye lenses to telephoto lenses up to about 250mm (with practice, you can even use it for nebulae and star clusters with a 500mm lens). Operation is simple: just turn the dial while watching the clock (for a 1-minute exposure, rotate the dial one full turn in sync with the second hand). Slight variations in speed are not a problem unless you're using a telephoto lens.
