This is believed to be a commemorative item from the 14th class of 甲種飛行予科練習生 (Kōshu Hikō Yoka Renshūsei, or Kōhi) at the Matsuyama Naval Air Station of the former Imperial Japanese Navy. The 14th class of Kōhi were an elite group recruited by the former Imperial Japanese Navy around 1944 (late Pacific War) to train aircraft crew members, with relatively high educational and age requirements. The phrases "Dōki no Sakura" (Cherry Blossoms of the Same Year) and "Gosei" (Five Resolutions) are inscribed.
