"Oshima Junsuimihara Tsubaki Oil" is a natural camellia oil made by Takada Seiyusho, which has been in business since the Taisho era, using 100% of the yabu-tsubaki (wild camellia) fruit from Izu Oshima.
Takada Seiyusho uses a classic traditional manufacturing method, which requires a great deal of effort, in order to produce purer, higher-quality camellia oil.
Approximately 86% of the components of camellia oil is "oleic acid," a fatty acid.
"Oleic acid" has properties that are very similar to the fat secreted from our healthy skin.
"Oshima Junsuimihara Tsubaki Oil," combined with this "oleic acid" and its non-drying properties, is resistant to oxidation and can be said to be the most suitable vegetable oil for use as a cosmetic oil.
In Japan, it has been used and loved since the Heian period as an oil to protect women's black hair.
It can also be used as a skincare oil.
