This is a hair ornament in the shape of a temari ball, suitable for Coming-of-Age Day ceremonies and other occasions. I purchased it about three years ago from Atelier Kinoshita for 5300 yen + tax, and only used it for a pre-ceremony photo shoot for Coming-of-Age Day. It has a "yagasuri" (arrow feather) pattern, and I think it's a unique design that won't be seen on others.
