In a world where artificial insemination is the norm for having children, sexual intercourse between spouses is taboo, and the objects of love and sexuality are usually either outside lovers or two-dimensional characters. In such a world, Amane, born from her parents' love, feels a sense of revulsion towards her mother. In her own marriage, Amane does not bring sexuality into the home, and instead has relationships with people other than her husband and with characters. However, her normal life is turned upside down when she moves with her husband to the experimental city of Eden. Amane is played by the lead actress of "True Mothers," Mayu Matsuoka, with Shuntaro Yanagi as Amane's husband, Saku; Yuri Tsunematsu as Amane's best friend, Juri; Kosei Yuki as Amane's high school classmate, Mizuuchi; Kentaro Tomita as Juri's husband, Mizuto; and Naoya Shimizu as Amane's ex-husband, Masanobu. Makoto Kawamura, a rising video director who has worked on music videos, live footage, commercials, and short films for various artists both in Japan and abroad, makes his feature film directorial debut, depicting a delicate and aesthetic world.
