This work, "C-NINE / C-9," was published by "Curious," Japan's first? adult shop for women only, which had stores throughout Japan, starting in Shibuya Center Gai, in the 90s. At a time when sex was consistently marketed towards men, Curious suddenly emerged as a "sex boutique" led by women, for women, and reportedly became a topic of conversation for a while.
