This is a conical bore flute from THIBOUVILLE, France. It was overhauled and the case repaired in Tokyo this June for around 200,000 yen, so it's ready to play immediately. Although it's likely over 100 years old, it's a beautiful instrument that doesn't show its age. The body material is probably ebony. The keys are made of silver. The key located at the Ais lever position is a H/C trill key. The pitch is adjusted to 440hz, but it's also possible to play at 442hz with the head joint fully inserted. This is a rare instrument that can be played with modern fingering except for the Ais lever, so if you've always admired conical Boehm flutes, please consider it.
