Japanese doll "Amakusa Shiro the Violinist" This artwork is a doll I received from my aunt. According to what I've heard, it was originally owned by my aunt's father (a former town council member/chief) and given to her. It's an interesting piece depicting Amakusa Shiro playing the violin. There are no insect bites, and the condition is good. The sword and violin are also undamaged. It seems it was purchased from a doll shop in the vicinity of Shimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture, during the Taisho era.
