It disperses the center of gravity, which can be a burden on the left hand, allowing for a more stable hold. A stable left hand leads to a stable embouchure and comfortable slide action. I purchased this new about 5 years ago when I was having trouble with my playing, and it helped me for about 2 years. Thanks to this, I regained my feel, and my playing completely recovered. I couldn't let it go for a while, keeping it as a good luck charm, fearing I might lose my touch again (lol), but I've become stable throughout the year, so I'd like others to try it, and I'm putting it up for sale.
