I've read these a few times. They've always been stored in a dark place after reading. I have two copies of volume 2 of xxxHOLiC because I accidentally bought multiple copies. The second photo is the top, the third is the side, and the fourth is the bottom. There's a slight tear on the top left of the cover of volume 4 (see photo 6). I don't see any other noticeable scratches, folds, or fading, but this is based on my own observation. All volumes have plastic book covers.
