This was a gift. It's a set of a teapot and five teacups, made with "Nambu Tekki," a traditional craft of Iwate Prefecture. The teapot features the powerful character for "dragon" and a relief of a phoenix (or an auspicious design) on the other side, a symbol of good fortune. The heavy, black iron surface complements a Japanese-style space well. Contents: Iron teapot: 1, Teacups: 5 *Comes in a box. Although it's new and unused, something that looks like rust can be seen on the underside. The teacups are all individually wrapped in plastic and have been stored that way. The inside of the teapot has a glossy enamel coating, making it rust-resistant and easy to clean.
