I purchased this new and only tried it on, but it has been stored at home. It's difficult to see in the images, but the design incorporates sparkling gold and glitter woven in fine, thread-like strands. There are areas where the glitter and gold threads appear to be protruding or fraying, but since it was only tried on, I believe it's part of the fabric and design. It looks glamorous up close.
