Thank you for visiting. This is a gold-plated Merkur slant-bar safety razor 37G, manufactured in the 1980s-90s. The Merkur 37G is no longer manufactured or sold, and is only held by collectors. Furthermore, the comb height on this model is higher than current models, and you may find it 1-1.5 steps more aggressive compared to the 37C, which is also a slant bar razor. However, you will need to make slight adjustments as the blade may not be centered if you tighten it carelessly. Currently, Merkur blades are manufactured in the neighboring country of the Czech Republic, but two boxes of German-made blades are included.
