(▼Quoted from HP) The Moonshine V2 is a pedal for players looking for an overdrive with a unique character, not transparent, and is an overdrive pedal with many modifications to the most famous green-boxed overdrive. It is a versatile tone-shaping tool that can be used for blues, rock, country, jazz, as well as genres like hardcore and metal. The Moonshine V2 has the same basic sound as version 1, but it newly features a "Clean" knob, which allows you to add a clean signal to the overdrive signal. By switching the simple "Proof" toggle switch, you can cover everything from low-gain distortion that breaks up like an amp to a distortion sound as if the amp was cranked to 10. Switching the switch to the lower position enables a high-gain setting, allowing you to use a saturated sound that produces long sustain. The upper position produces a more open crunch sound, with greater headroom and volume range. Like JHS's SuperBolt, the Moonshine boosts internally from 9V to 18V, and even when supplied with a 9V power supply, you can get the headroom, low end, and punch of using it at 18V. You may find the Moonshine to be the thickest and fullest overdrive you've ever used. We also recommend using the Moonshine before distortion pedals, boosters, fuzz, etc. It can be matched to various genres of music by using it with various amps, regardless of style.
