Two hanging scrolls featuring figures and landscapes by Ikkeisai (Ikkei Ukita, original family name Fujiwara). Ukita Ikkei was a Yamato-e painter who was active during the late Edo period, but it seems there were other people who went by the name Ikkeisai. These items were kept at my family home, and I have not had them appraised by a professional art dealer, so I cannot guarantee their authenticity. However, I can confirm that they are not prints, and they bear the signature of Ukita Ikkei, whose original family name was Fujiwara. One scroll is titled "Lion Dance in Plum Mountain Landscape" written on the back, but nothing is written on the other. The condition is good, with no noticeable scratches or stains, and the colors are vibrant. They are stored in a paulownia wood box. The size of both scrolls is 182cm in height and 44cm in width overall, with the paper itself measuring 106cm in height and 32cm in width.
