The overall length when sheathed is 30cm. This is a genuine, antique Japanese short sword made of tamahagane steel. The scabbard is finished with authentic lacquer. The gold habaki (blade collar) provides a nice accent. The hamon (blade pattern) is visible throughout, and you can enjoy discovering various patterns as you care for it. It has the high artistic value unique to ancient Japanese swords. You can disassemble the entire sword by removing the small black mekugi (pins), making it easy to care for the blade. To prevent rust, occasionally apply oil with a paper towel. Daiso's all-purpose oil or general sewing machine oil will work fine.
