This is a humorous novel by a famous children's book author. According to the back cover description, it begins with the protagonist, a boy, falling off a roof, losing consciousness, and waking up in a hospital. He knows his name is Chase, but he doesn't remember what kind of person Chase was. When he returns to school with amnesia, his classmates react in various ways (some treat him like a hero, others are scared. One girl seems angry at Chase). The story follows the protagonist as he realizes that the question isn't just what kind of person Chase was, but what kind of person he will become. I think it's perfect for extensive reading for middle and high school students. I've only read a few pages, but the level feels similar to Wonder (this is just my personal impression).
