The approximate size is about 9 cm in width and 8 cm in height. One kappa has a hat tied to its back, but the other does not, so it may be missing. Also, it seems to depict them carrying sake barrels, but it is unclear how they were hung. (Currently, they are loosely tied to a stick.) The characters on the Shogi pieces are black on one and red on the other, so perhaps they are a pair, a couple, or a married kappa...??
