(I believe they said they built a famous bridge in Niigata.) It is an antique bronze Hotei statue. It appears to be in good condition, with no noticeable breaks, but there are quite a few small scratches. It is made with considerable detail, has a rich expression, and has a substantial weight. The lid is inscribed with "Old Bronze Hotei-sama, Meinao? Tomonao? Storehouse." Size: Height: 12.5 cm Width: 13 cm However, it is, after all, an antique and a curio. There are also age-related scratches and dirt in addition to the above. Please understand this before considering a purchase. Also, the pricing is arbitrary, but I may block those who make unreasonable price negotiations (e.g., prices nearly half of the listed price) at that point.
