Like the other knives I have for sale, this one was also made from forging and welding. No composite materials are used. Forging and welding the steel dramatically improves the sharpness. Currently, there are only a few dozen craftsmen who can perform the welding process of attaching steel to the base metal, and most of the blades on the market use composite materials. It uses the highest-grade Hitachi Metals blue steel. The handle is made of ebony wood, and the sheath is made of cypress.
