This is a Nambu ironware Irori pot, 30cm, with a wooden lid and handle, compatible with both IH and gas stoves. Houbundou (ほうぶんどう) is known as one of the manufacturers of Nambu ironware, a traditional craft of Iwate Prefecture. It has excellent heat retention and does not cool down easily, allowing ingredients to cook slowly and become fluffy. It also has the advantage of allowing you to ingest iron through cooking.
