This is a major work with a "FUNK" concept by 4 DJs: DJ DENKA, the late DEV LARGE, the late DJ RYUHEI THE MAN, and KASHI DA HANDSOME, released as a tape in '02 and then as a CD in '15 by DJ DENKA's label, 『BROTHERS ON THE RUN』. DEV LARGE, RYUHEI THE MAN, DJ DENKA, and KASHI DA HANDSOME deliver unwavering, jet-black funk. This work, which shares its title with a black movie OST, was originally released as a two-tape set, and it's nearly impossible to find the original tapes now. This CD version is also difficult to obtain. To introduce it in order, SIDE-A (DISC 1) opens with a GHETTO FUNK mix by Mr. DEV LARGE, centered around percussive and upbeat tracks. The highlight comes early on with a double-play of "Nautilus" followed by a "B-BOY Izm" using the same sample, in the style of COLD CUT! The fast-paced development that follows is also amazing!! And SIDE-B (DISC 2) features Mr. RYUHEI THE MAN, with this being his first released recording! A high-energy, rare FUNK MIX that fully foreshadows his future leading role in the scene!!
