I've included photos of how to make it. With the single hitch knot in step "1" of the process, it may come undone, but it's easy to untie, so you can use it to adjust the length. Even with a single hitch knot, it won't come undone easily if you step on it to tighten it. It's sufficient for testing. I've never had the double hitch knot in step "4" come undone. For 14mm or 16mm rubber, it's better to step on the rubber to tighten it. By stepping on it to tighten it, the "friction of the line and the elasticity of the rubber" are added, and you can tighten it to the point where it won't come undone unless you pull it with pliers. ・Wishbone... Since the inner diameter of the rubber is 3mm, commercially available wishbones can be used. ＜How to Choose Rubber＞ ・I recommend starting with a length that you think is "a little long." You can always shorten it. It depends on the situation and the fish, so give yourself some leeway. ＜Winding and Pulling＞ ・If the shaft bends or flexes significantly because it can't withstand the power of the rubber, it might be time to consider replacing the shaft with a stronger one, as the strength of the spear itself isn't keeping up with your arm strength. However, "winding and pulling" can make the shaft less likely to bend. Winding more than one turn will reduce speed, so try about half a turn.
