It's warm due to the all-boa design, and I used to dress my child in it for outings in the dead of winter (I only used the nylon side facing out). The boa looks a bit worn in the photos, but there isn't that much damage. It has a soft and smooth feel (not like the fluffy feel of a poodle fleece).
