Using a single layer of cotton fabric as a base, I arranged cut-edge indigo-dyed antique cloth and applied spiral sashiko stitching to the entire surface. The reverse side uses indigo-dyed antique cloth with holes. I applied sashiko stitching to the kasuri (ikat) fabric in the center hole, and repaired three small frays with sashiko thread. It's a long, rectangular free mat. I hope you can use it with various ideas.
