RockShox Suspension This is a dedicated fender for the ZEB and DOMAIN models, installed with three bolts. As a short fender, it minimizes the splashing of stones and mud, and significantly reduces the amount of mud that hits the suspension's inner tubes and accumulates around the dust seals. I use the same one myself, and on the first day I used a new ZEB, a small stone kicked up by the tire scratched the inner tube. Since then, I've used it more as an inner tube guard to prevent scratches than as a mudguard. I also had the flimsy fenders that are often seen attached with zip ties, but they looked messy with the zip ties, and the contact points with the zip ties and the fender got scratched, making them look less than ideal, so I didn't use them. The dedicated fender is bolt-on, so it fits very neatly, and because it curves along the tire, it's not very noticeable. It does its job as a minimal fender to protect the inner tube. This fender is only compatible with ROCK SHOX ZEB and DOMAIN. There are also dedicated fenders for PIKE and LYRIK, SID, and BOXXER, each with different mounting hole positions.
