His hobbies were grinding his own beans and brewing a cup of coffee with a siphon after lunch, and cleaning. I remember him always carrying a cloth and wiping down the house. Also, he wasn't the type to have material desires, but for some reason, he gradually collected and displayed these ornaments. My grandfather was small and slender, and quiet. He didn't have the personality or physique of a fisherman, but for some reason, he always returned with a large catch when he went out to sea. He seemed to have worked as a boat captain, but according to my mother, his colleagues on the boat called him "Captain-sama" instead of "Captain," out of respect for his work ethic and personality. My grandfather was gentle and kind to everyone, and he was well-liked by those around him, and some even thought of him as a god. Now I wonder why my grandfather, who didn't look like a fisherman (>. <), was able to have such a large catch? It may have been due to my grandfather's daily actions. But, I also think that my grandfather's collection might have had an influence. These ornaments were the only things collected by a minimalist in the Showa era.
