Takeisao Shrine is a shrine located in Murasakino Kitafunaoka-cho, Kita-ku, Kyoto City. It enshrines Oda Nobunaga as its main deity and Oda Nobutada, his son, as a secondary deity. It is generally called "Kenkun-jinja" and is commonly known as "Kenkun-san." It is one of the shrines that enshrined the founders of feudal domains, which were popular from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period. We offer a set of two items: a goshuin (red seal stamp) and a history booklet (paid). The shrine is located at the summit of Mt. Funaoka in Kyoto and was founded by Emperor Meiji to honor the achievements of Oda Nobunaga. There is a stone monument inscribed with a passage from Nobunaga's poem, "Human life is but fifty years..." which he recited before the Battle of Okehazama. The view of the Higashiyama Sanju-Roppo (36 peaks of Higashiyama) from in front of the main hall is spectacular.
