There may be some stains or needle marks here and there, but please understand this is a remade item. The kimono was purchased for remaking, but a slight kimono-specific odor remains. It's likely the smell of mothballs, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to smells. It will probably be reduced after washing it a few times with detergent. I wash it in the washing machine using a delicate cycle with a detergent for delicate clothes. Ironing while it's still damp makes it easier to remove wrinkles.
